When should my child visit the dentist for the very first time?
Dr. Mirsepasi recommends that all children should be scheduled for their first dental appointment as soon as their first tooth peeks above their gums. At this visit, he’ll perform a gentle exam to make sure your child’s teeth and mouth are developing correctly. The visit helps the child look forward to visiting the dentist's office. Once a child is about three years old, they should start coming in for checkups and cleanings every six months just like yourself.
What is a prosthodontist?
A prosthodontist is a type of dental specialist whose expertise focuses on repairing, rebuilding, and replacing the teeth using the latest techniques and technology. In order to become one, Dr. Mirsepasi had to complete years of intense training after graduating from dental school, making him especially skillful at helping people recover their smiles after suffering significant damage.
Why should I visit a prosthodontist instead of a general dentist?
In short, prosthodontists simply have more training and qualifications than general dentists, particularly when it comes to helping patients with complicated dental problems that involve several missing, decayed, or broken teeth. Thanks to his extra training, Dr. Mirsepasi can better personalize someone’s care to deliver even better results.
Should I get a bridge, denture, or dental implants to replace my missing teeth?
The answer to this question depends on a few factors, such as your dental health, preferences, and budget. In most cases, Dr. Mirsepasi highly-recommends dental implants to any patient who is a good candidate for them. Compared to any other replacement, implants look better, are much stronger, and last multiple times longer. To learn which treatment would definitively be best for you, however, you should schedule an in-person consultation.
